BOIL WATER NOTICE
City of Berryville Public Water System
Due to low water pressure caused by today’s weather conditions, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the City of Berryville public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.
Water used for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for human consumption.
The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two (2) minutes. In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source for drinking and cooking purposes.
This boil water notice will remain in effect until the water system has taken the necessary corrective actions and TCEQ has determined that the water is safe for human consumption.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, customers will be notified that they may resume normal water use.

UPDATE - It was a power fluctuation that tripped the well pump. The well s now in the process of refilling the storage tanks. Should take about an hour and we should bring the water service back on-line. We are accessing the impact of lack of water pressure across the system and will have another notice after that.
ORIGINAL - We are experiencing a drop in water pressure. This can happen with fluctuations in the power. We have a generator but sometimes the transfer is not smooth. The water guys are working on it now. We'll let you know.
